The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies organized a ceremony dedicated to 89th birth anniversary of the National Leader Heydar

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies organized a ceremony that was dedicated to 89^th   birth anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. 

The ceremony began with laying flowers at National Leader’s  bust and visiting the Heydar Aliyev’s corner in the Ministry of Communications and IT. The ceremony was opened with speech delivered by the Minister of Communications and IT Ali Abbasov.

In his speech A.Abbasov noted that Azerbaijan as an independent state had now entered the new stage of development. ‘As result of consistent and purposeful implementation of the domestic and foreign policies by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev Azerbaijan’s cooperation with authoritative international organizations and leading states of the world has reached the highest possible level. The National Leader Heydar Aliyev lived a long life, but his ideas continue to live.  Today, all reforms in our country are being implemented in line with the strategy developed by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the realization of this strategy.  At present, at this new stage of our history of independent statehood our honorable President is running the country in line with Heydar Aliyev’s ideas. He even further develops these ideas in order to adapt them the modern requirements. 

1970 – 1982, when Heydar Aliyev was the head of our state, is the main development period for the communication system in Azerbaijan. During this period major reforms and reconstruction activities were implemented, and great achievements were made in the communication system.      

During these years Heydar Aliyev brouth to Azerbaijan the first big BESM-6 computers and made decisions, which played very important role in the development of communications.  Besides that, in this period automated control system ‘RASU’, automated oil-extracting industry control systems and complexes were developed in Azerbaijan.

The ‘Azon’, ‘Nord’ scientific production associations, Radiozavod, computer plant, ‘Peyk’ and ‘Ulduz’ production complexes were built and put into operation. When the National Leader Heydar Aliyev came to power in Azerbaijan for the second time in 1993 the national communication began to develop again.

The wise policy pursued by the National Leader gradually restored stability in the country and created favorable conditions for attracting investments to this sphere. This period was a U-turn in the development of the communication service’, A. Abbasov said.     

Participants of the ceremony spoke about Heydar Aliyev’s life, his historical merits before the fatherland and the people. They also spoke about achievements made in all spheres of the social and economic life in Azerbaijan.  It was noted that the achievements, gained as a result of the National Leader’s longsighted policy, laid the foundation for the stable development of the state’s economy.

  The ceremony concluded with a presentation of orders given by Heydar Aliyev to develop the communications, communication facilities built in the country, and successes achieved in this sphere during Heydar Aliyev period.
