How can a subscriber change his toll-free phone number without visiting a telephone hub?


By using the electronic service of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT), subscribers can easily change a toll-free telephone number.

To do this, a subscriber has to access the E-government portal (www.e-gov.az ) and select the “Changing a phone number” electronic service. A toll-free telephone phone number currently used by the subscriber will automatically appear on the next page. And the list of available toll-free phone numbers will be shown below the subscriber’s phone number.
 
By pressing the button on the page, the subscriber will be able to choose a new phone number from the list. It should be noted that the subscriber will have to pay 50 AZN if he chooses a phone number from the list and 20 AZN if he doesn’t choose it. After that, the subscriber will have to press the "Continue" button.
 
The amount of payment, payment code, the number of a telephone hub, which will carry out the process of changing the subscriber’s phone number, and other relevant information will be shown on the screen. By pressing the “Pay online” button, the subscriber will be able to pay via the Internet for this service.
 
If the payment is not carried out within 24 hours, the number change code will be cancelled. The phone number will be changed within 3 working days after making a payment for this service.
