Prices again reduce on Azerbaijani Internet market

Azerbaijani Internet service provider Avirtel reduced the cost of Internet access, the Company said in a statement on Monday. The new tariffs, which came into effect on Oct. 1, envisage increasing the traffic and capacity broadband ADSL by about twice.

Depending on the chosen tariff plan, the costs of Avirtel users for unlimited ADSL-access now account between 15 manat for 1024/1024 kbit/s to 100 manat - 10240/2048 kbit/s (the cost of installation - free of charge).

The reduction in tariffs for Internet services is primarily related to the decision of the primary provider DeltaTelecom, which presented to the Internet service providers 60-percent discount for rental of the international channels of communication.

This, in turn, has enabled service providers to significantly reduce the price of ADSL-services, providing users with more favorable rates.

At present, the cost of access to the Internet was reduced by the companies AlfaNet, AzStarNet, SmartSystems and Ultel, as well as state providers AztelekomNet и BakinterNet.
