MCIT creates information exchange system to predict earthquakes

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has established an information exchange system for monitoring its earthquake prediction system, Institute of Cybernetics Director Telman Aliyev told.
He said the system will transmit seismic signals directly to the server. The high-frequency satellite channels will be used to transmit signals.

This will allow the institute to conduct experiments at a higher and qualitative level.
The institute uses two monitoring forecasting system stations located in Gum Adasi and Shirvan.
"The stations in the Siyazan and Naftalan regions will be completed by late March," Aliyev said.

Azerbaijan will ensure its seismic safety by using these four stations, as it will be possible to determine not only earthquakes, but also their coordinates. The system is based on noise analysis. Aliyev earlier said the system will work in Azerbaijan by the end of the first half of the year.
