1,500,000 children pass registration in digital system of Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan Republic

1,500,000 children aged under 18 have passed registration in the digital system of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan Republic thus far.  This information was provided to ‘İCTnews’ by director of the Health Informatization Center, Chabrail Asadzade.  

According to him, the introduction the Electronic Health Card System that was developed by the Ministry of Health within the State Program on development of the communication and information technologies in Azerbaijan Republic for 2005-2008 is being implemented on the stage-by-stage basis. ‘This is an information system that meets  modern standards. 

At the present stage, the electronic information system encompasses medical institutions that provide services to the children. This includes all maternity hospitals and delivery rooms, children's hospitals and pediatric polyclinics operating in the county.
Infants  born in maternity hospitals and hospitals’ delivery rooms undergo initial registration and information on them is introduced into the information system.  So far 400 medical institutions, located in the cities and regions of the republic, have joined the system, and this number is growing.’ Mr. Asadzade  told.
