The ‘Caspian Telecom’ LLC (CASTEL), the leading company in the Information and Communication sphere in Azerbaijan, is expanding its fiber-optic technology based network. This information was provided to ‘ICTnews’ by the deputy director of the ‘CASTEL’ company Mahizar Tagiyeva.
According to her, ‘CASTEL’ via its fiber-optic network renders various types of ICT services to banks, public agencies and private companies, which are located in the territory of Baku city and Apsheron peninsula. ‘In 2010 the ‘Caspian Telecom’ company became one of the branches of the ‘Aila TV’ network. By combining its own potential with the potential of ‘Aila TV’ ‘CASTEL’ turned into the widest fiber-optic network in Azerbaijan. ‘CASTEL’ is currently expanding its network.
The company has made an official statement that it is establishing networks in the other regions of the country. ‘CASTEL’ is already rendering ICT services to regional branches of several banks via its fiber-optic network. ‘CASTEL’ plans to create its branches in various regions of the country for expanding its network.
The company’s managers and experts regularly attend ICT exhibitions held in different countries of the world. Through these exhibitions ‘CASTEL’ acquires the latest technologies in order to apply them in its activities. The company has officially announced that during 2012 it has replaced all its equipment with the most modern ‘CISCO’ equipment in order to raise quality of services.
Let’s note that the ‘Caspian Telecom’ company was established in 1997, and in 2010, it became a part of the ‘Aila TV’ network. The company provides ICT services to numerous public and private companies, several state agencies and the leading commercial banks.
The list of services offered by ‘CASTEL’ to its customers includes provision of the fiber-optic internet, construction of the ‘Ethernet’ network and fiber-optic lines, construction of private virtual networks, installation of the SWIFT money transfer system and the International Interbank System of Information Transfer, provision of access to the system, provision of support of the system, installation of video-surveillance equipment and installation of special equipment to provide security and monitoring of the network. ‘CASTEL’ is in partnership with such well-known companies as ‘CISCO’, ‘HP’ and SWIFT.
