According to State Statistic Committee, GDP was 15.0 billion manat in January – May of 2012. 8.8% increase was observed in the non-oil sector, and 5.1% decline - in the oil sector. 77.5% of GDP was generated in the industry, respectively it was 17.1% in the processing, 4.9% in production and distribution of electricity, gas and vapour, 0.5% in water supply, waste treatment and processing.
During the 5 months, the oil production and the production of marketable natural gas constituted 18.5 million tons and 7.4 billion cubic metres respectively. High increase was also observed in production of the following non-oil products: construction materials, finished metal products, electricity, furniture, computers and other electronic devices, vehicles, machinery and equipment and other products.
