An international conference titled ‘From traditional mass media to online media’ will be held in Baku. The activity, which comes as an initiative taken jointly by the Azerbaijan Press Council, Baku office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the European Union and the Embassy of the Great Britain in Azerbaijan, will take place at the ‘Park INN’ hotel on July 17, 2012.
This information was provided to ICTnews by the Azerbaijan Press Council. According to this information, the conference will be attended by heads of different mass media, representatives of various online media, independed journalists, as well as state and government officials.
The conference, consisting of three sessions, will discuss issues connected with the replacement of the traditional mass media with the online media, including application of international standards, specifications of the internet administration, preparation of an appropriate legislative base, role played by mass media and social networks in the live of society and etc.
