Extensive access to internet will be ensured during the Eurovision-2012 song contest in Baku. The statement came from Azerbaijan’s Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov on Tuesday.
'Extensive access to internet through Wi-Fi technology will be promoted in Baku during Eurovision 2012. The access points will be organized in the public places of the capital city', the minister said.
He noted that reliability and quality of services will also be ensured. Also necessary measures are taken to raise speed of access to internet.
Thus, in period of the contest, broadcast will be held not only on TV but also via internet”, Abbasov said. Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal of Azerbaijan won Eurovision in 2011.
