In January-August Azerbaijan imported over 87,500 mobile phones worth over $5 million, the State Statistics Committee said on Wednesday. Import of mobile phones increased by 26.8 percent compared to the similar indicator of 2010, in money terms - by 19.4 percent.
The country's average monthly import hits 10,000 mobile phones. Monthly volume of the mobile phone market in money terms amounts to about 600,000-650,000 manat.
