Minister Ramin Guluzade receives delegation of Microsoft Corporation

Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade received a delegation of Microsoft Corporation led by the CIS Regional Office Director and Board Member for Central and Eastern Europe Ronald Binkofsky.
 
Having greeted the guests, Minister Ramin Guluzade noted that the relations between Microsoft and Azerbaijan are developing successfully, and such meetings play an important role in expanding cooperation.
 
The Minister provided detailed information about reforms carried out in the country’s transport and ICT sector, regional and local projects, as well as work to be done.
 
The Minister also spoke on successive steps taken over the last years by the Azerbaijani government to fight against piracy, including software piracy.
 
The Minister also pointed to the successful results of cooperation between the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and Microsoft Azerbaijan in the field of preparing new generation identity cards.
 
In his turn, Ronald Binkofsky expressed his gratitude on behalf of the delegation for sincere reception and fruitful discussions. He expressed satisfaction with the development of joint cooperation with Azerbaijan.
 
During the meeting, further prospects for cooperation between the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and Microsoft Azerbaijan were discussed.
 
Moreover, the topics of the meeting were issues of cooperation within the framework of a joint working group on the introduction of state-of-the-art technologies, the involvement of Microsoft in the process of creating an enabling environment and ecosystem for startup companies, equipping with safe software to intensify the transformation of the ministry’s activities into digital technologies etc.
