IT trainings held in Ganja for university students

The E-Government Education and Training Centre under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies continues implementing measures towards increasing students’ IT knowledge and skills in the regions.
 
Thus, workshops were organized in Ganja with the participation of students from Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, Azerbaijan Technological University and Ganja State University.   
 
Within the visit, the director of the E-Government Education and Training Center and the rectors of the abovementioned universities discussed opportunities for cooperation.
 
The workshops started with an introductory speech delivered by the director of the E-Government Education and Training Center Rauf Jabbarov.
 
He spoke about raising the level of knowledge of IT students in the regions, prospects for developing IT students’ skills and the importance of ICT for their future careers.  
 
At the workshops, the employees of the E-Government Education and Training Center made presentations on e-government solutions, possibilities for holding ICT trainings, international certification programs, career opportunities for students and social projects.   
 
The workshop participants also received detailed information about the "From idea to business" startup tour jointly held by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and the Regional Development Public Union of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
 
Note that the High Technology Park, the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies and the company "Microsoft" are the organizers of the startup tour. And the Public Association of Youth Movement "Javan" and the company "Azercell" are the partners of the project.
 
More than 600 students and teachers took part in the workshops held at three universities.
The workshops concluded with active discussions held with the participation of university students and teaching personnel.
 
Representatives of the universities expressed interest in continuing such activities in the future.
