“Teleradio” Production Association is installing new equipment in Astara to insure high quality digital broadcasting over the southern region of the country”, told “İCTnews” technical director of the association Mikayil Abbasov. “Formerly, Lerik based TV station carried out broadcasting over this region.
Now digital broadcasting by Astara TV station will cover the whole southern region,” he said.
According to Abbasov, by the end of this year digital broadcasting will cover the entire territory of the Republic.
At present, apart from Baku and Apsheron peninsula, digital broadcasting covers Ganja, Shirvan, Lerik, Agsu regions and the areas around them. Let’s note that transition from analog to digital broadcasting took place in 2009. In Baku test works in this direction started as far back as 2004.
