A meeting with a delegation from Turkey’s General Directorate of Post and Telegraph Organization (PTT) was held at Azerpost LLC.
At the meeting, the sides discussed the issue of signing a mutual agreement on carrying out remittance operations between Azerpost and PPT via a new express money transfer system.
Under the agreement, purchase/sale operations and parcel delivery will be carried out via the new system by only the subordinate post offices of Azerpost LLC and Turkey’s PTT at favorable tariffs.
Money transfer operations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are also carried out via other international systems like Western Union, Zolotaya Korona, Contact and Universal Payment Transfer.
It should be noted that remittance operations have been carried out between Turkey and Azerpost LLC via the online money transfer system since 2010.
Also, under the agreement, necessary measures will be taken to make sure that PTT’s electronic trading platform supports all types of international payment cards issued by Azerpost LLC.
In addition, within the new project, Azerpost LLC, jointly with PTT, will start issuing "cobrand" cards bearing "MasterCard" logo, and bonus programs will be implemented during operations carried out on the platform with the use of these cards.
