The works of the 6th International Conference on Control and Optimization with Industrial Applications (COIA-2018), held in Baku on July 11 – 13, 2018, were posted on the website “Clarivate Analytics”, one of the world's largest scientific and analytical data bases.
Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramin Guluzade was Honorary Chairman of this conference, which was organized by the Scientific Research Institute of Applied Mathematics of Baku State University with the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.
The works of the conference were released in the form of a book including 220 articles. 73 of these articles were written by the scholars of Baku State University, with 20 of them written by scientists from the Scientific Research Institute of Applied Mathematics.
Academician Fikret Aliyev and professor of the University of Illinois Tamer Basar were editors of the book.
It should be noted that the selected large-volume articles will be published in the International Journal of Applied and Computational Mathematics, which is Azerbaijan’s only journal with the Impact Factor 2.365. This journal is issued by the Scientific Research Institute of Applied Mathematics of Baku State University with the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.
The Impact Factor is given to scientific journals based on such criteria as the significance of academic articles and the number of references made to the publication by the international scientific community.
It is to be recalled that this conference, which has already become a tradition, was organized for the fourth time in Baku.
The international event was attended by about 250 scientists and researchers from Turkey, Great Britain, Spain, Russia, Mexico, Ukraine, Iran, India, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Pakistan, Georgia, Bulgaria, Kuwait and other countries.
