New leak confirms Redmi Note 10 (global) will have a Snapdragon 678 processor

The Redmi Note 10 series is launching on March 4 in India. However, it appears a launch in other countries won’t be far off. There have been numerous leaks about the upcoming phones in addition to official details, however, the most recent info about the Redmi Note 10 falls under the former.
New images have surfaced on the web and they are of the global version of the Redmi Note 10. These images also confirm some key specs of the upcoming phone. Posted on Facebook by Xiaomi Leaks Ph, the photos are of an unboxed unit and a sticker on the phone lists these key specifications.
The Redmi Note 10 will have a 6.43-inch AMOLED DotDisplay. The hole for the front-facing camera is in the center as you can see. If you have been wondering what processor will power the phone, the image reveals that it is the Snapdragon 678. This is a 4G processor that was announced by Qualcomm in December last year. The chip is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 675 that is inside the 2019 Redmi Note 7 Pro.
Redmi has put a 5000mAh battery inside the phone. This is just a tiny bit smaller battery than the 5020mAh battery inside the Redmi Note 9. However, you get 33W fast charging which should allow you to refill it faster compared to the 18W supported by its predecessor.
The Redmi Note 10 will have 48MP quad cameras. Along with the 48MP primary rear camera, it is revealed that there is also an ultrawide angle camera and a macro camera.
While the sticker on the phone didn’t say, the Redmi Note 10 is expected to run MIUI 12 based on Android 11 out of the box.
