International forum on Internet coordination will be held this autumn, Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov told reporters on Saturday.
"It will be the biggest event of the year, which will be held under the UN coordination. The UN leaders have appealed to the Azerbaijani side and the preparation work is being implemented," Abbasov said.
The main objective of the forum is to solve the problems associated with the Internet and with adverse incidents occurring in the virtual environment. The protection of users' rights, state control over the illegal activities, carried out in the Internet environment, will also be discussed.
