Azerbaijan to get acquainted with the experience of attracting foreign investment in ICT

Azerbaijan will get acquainted with the experience of communication administration of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC) to attract foreign investment in the ICT sector for the further development of telecommunication networks, the introduction of new services and technologies, and with the principles of resolving these issues at the legislative level, Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan told.

Experience of member-countries of the RCC will be presented at the 29th meeting of the RCC Commission on the economy, which will be held in Switzerland on March 6-8.

A delegation of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies will represent Azerbaijan at the meeting of the Commission.

The Commission will also consider proposals on the possible regulation of roaming tariffs in the CIS countries and the development of common approaches to tariffing of RCC operators.

The principles of formation of tariffs for digital broadcasting, a mechanism for establishing tariffs for electronic services, the formation of tariffs between operators connect and practice of their use, development of the Internet economy and its impact on GDP in the CIS countries and other issues will also be discussed..
