‘Azerpoct’ to join ‘Monex’ express money transfer system


Over 300 post offices of the ‘Azerpoct’ LLC have passed registration at the ‘Western Union’ international money transfer system. According to information provided by the  head of the Financial Services and Marketing Department of ‘Azerpoct’ Yashar Ahmadov, the negotiations being conducted by the company with the ‘Coinstar’ money transfer system are coming to an end.                                                                                                                                                                                                                        ‘Presently, the company is taking measures to connect to the Western Union’, ‘Coinstar’ and ‘CONTACT’  international money transfer systems. It is also holding negotiations with the ‘Migom’ international money transfer system. In November 2011 the ‘Azerpoct’ signed a contract with ‘RusSlavbank’ to start providing international remittance services in postal offices in Baku via the ‘Contact’ international money transfer system.

When the process of integration of the ‘CONTACT’ international money transfer system into Azerpoct’s Automatic Corporate Information System will be completed in 2012, the ‘CONTACT’ will be put at the population’s disposal. Besides that, ‘Azerpoct’ is expected to sign a contract with ‘Muganbank’ JSC to start using remittance services offered by the ‘Monex’ express money transfer system in all its post offices.
