Safe and reliable communication system installed in Kristal Arena


The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has solved all technical issues related to the ‘Eurovision 2012’ song contest.  The contest participants, journalists and spectators, who have come to Azerbaijan in connection with this international activity, are already using the modern technologies, which were installed in Cristal Arena, during rehearsals. Journalists, covering the event, were very pleased to have been provided with modern computers, software and non-sim internet access.  

As a result of activities implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, 4,000 people attending Cristal Arena, the place where the ‘Eurovision – 2012’ song contest will be held, will be provided with 1 Mb/s internet access. Of them 3,000 people will be provided with Wi-Fi, and 1,000 – with stationary computers.

Additionally, the high speed internet has been provided in the complex, press center and other rooms. As part of these activities, alternative connections to the global internet network have been insured in several directions to increase reliability of the communication. 

Broadband internet access has been also provided in commercial centers, restaurants and other business and catering facilities located in the city center. Besides that, the complex, where the song contest will take place, has been provided with one 8 Mb/s internet channel. 

Let’s note that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has installed an alternative communication system in all directions in order to insure quality and reliability of the communication during the ‘Eurovosion-2012’ song contest.
