New CDMA base station to be launched in Baku soon

Work is underway by the ‘Baku Telephone Communication’ Production Unit to enhance the quality of CDMA type non-sim telephone services. In his interview to ICTnews the head of CDMA department of the ‘Baku Telephone Communication’ PU Murad Chabrailov said that a new base station will be launched in ATS 538/539 in Yasamal region in a few days time.

‘We have taken all necessary measures so that the new station will provide subscribers with more qualitative communication services’, he added.  Let’s note that a short time ago similar stations were launched in Binagadi and Khazar regions. Equipment for the base station was purchased from the ‘Huawei’ company.

Currently, the CDMA base station has 8,500 subscribers and a circuit capacitance of 20,000 numbers. The ‘Baku Telephone Communication’ Production Union renders CDMA services with 511 and 555 indexes.  Thanks to the roaming between the ‘Aztelecom’ PU and the ‘Baku Telephone Communication’ PU CDMA subscribers of both companies can use their phones in any region of the country.
