SCPI develops digital cadastral maps for registering real estate objects

Electronic registration of real estate objects is not possible without a sufficient database and digital cadastre. In this connection, a tender on creation of  an electronic real estate database  and development of digital cadastre maps  has been announced.  All tender proposals are currently being evaluated by the State Committee on Property Issues of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SCPI).

This information was provided to ICTnews by SCPI. According to the committee,  measures are now being  implemented by SCPI towards developing  digital cadastral maps and creating an electronic real estate database for Sumgait city. The switch to an electronic real estate service will not be possible without a  single  database allowing to share information on immovable properties between different state agencies.

Also, it is necessary to place all paper-based information, which has been accumulated over many years in the state archives,  in the electronic database in order to insure an efficient, transparent and continuous operation of the electronic real estate service. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s decree  on “Introduction and application of the single real estate cadastre”  dated July 27, 2010 holds necessary instructions on technical inventory and registration of real estate objects at the single state cadastre.  In line with the presidential decree, the State Committee on Property Issues is currently developing cadastral maps, based on which the electronic registration of real estate objects will be carried out.

Following the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s  instructions on the development of industrial cities, the State Committee on Property Issues will develop digital cadastral maps  for Baku, Sumgait and Ganja cities in the first place.
