International Conference "Photosynthesis Research for Sustainability" is held in Baku, from July 24 to 30, 2011. The conference is a great occasion for discussions of previous, present, and future research on photosynthesis, from molecular to global, and will provide an exiting scientific program. The event provides a forum for students, postdoctoral fellows and scientists from all over the world to deepen their knowledge and understanding, widen professional contact and create new opportunities, including establishing new collaborations. The proceedings of lectures and posters will be peer-reviewed and published in special issues of Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (Bioenergetics) and International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. Coordinator of the conference is Suleyman I.Allakhverdiyev (Russia). Chairman of Local organizing committee is Minister of communications and information technologies Ali Abbasov, chairman of international organizing committee is President of International Society of Photosynthesis Research (UK) James Barber. Organizational Committee of the Conference includes famous photosynthesis researchers from the leading world countries. Contributions the Jalal Aliyev School has made to the global photosynthesis development are highly estimated by the world scientists and it is therefore such an authoritative conference is held in the capital of Azerbaijan.
