Works on eliminating defects of Baku’s cable-channel system continue
The Ministry of Communications and High Technologies continues eliminating defects that were detected by Baku Telephone Communications Production Association in the cable-channel system.
As a result of these measures, a large number of wells in Baku have already been brought into conformity with the technical norms.
Upon competition of the repair works, a cable-channel system meeting all technical requirements and providing both state organisations and private companies with high quality communication services will be created.
Note that the cable-channel system has not been used according to the technical norms for many years; cables were not properly installed in the system; maintenance of the cable-channel system has not been carried out according to the required standards. As result of these omissions, it has become impossible to continue the technical exploitation of the system.
It should also be noted there are 16,900 wells of different sizes, 1820 km of telephone sewers, and 4006 km of cable channels on the balance sheet of Baku Telephone Communications Production Association.
