Specialists of Azercosmos and TÜBİTAK UZAY exchange their experiences
A group of employees of the Turkish Space Technologies Research Institute TÜBİTAK UZAY participated in a training program at Azercosmos OJSC.
During the training, the employees of TÜBİTAK UZAY studied Azercosmos’ experience in the management of telecommunications satellite systems, orbit determination, orbital manoeuvres, satellite life extension, etc.
At the same time, within the training program, the space experts of TÜBİTAK UZAY acquainted their Azerbaijani colleagues with the history of development of Turkey’s space industry, plans for the future, projects of local satellite control stations, management of low-orbit satellites, design and manufacture of satellites and nano-satellites.
It was noted that both organisations benefited from this training and “it is, therefore, necessary to hold such activities in the future.”
Note that TÜBİTAK UZAY is a Turkish institution carrying out research and development projects on space technology, electronics, information technology and related fields. TÜBİTAK UZAY specializes in space technologies, electronics, information technologies and related fields, keeping abreast of latest technological developments.
The institute leads and takes part in R&D projects, aiming at having a pioneering role in the national research community, and assisting the industry in solving technical problems encountered during system design, selection and use, product development and manufacturing in abovementioned specialization areas.
