Azercosmos holds blood donation campaign dedicated to National Salvation Day
Azercosmos OJSC has held a blood donation campaign under the slogan “Donate blood, save a life.” The campaign organised within the framework of the Corporate Social Responsibility Program was dedicated to June 15 – National Salvation Day.
The purpose of the campaign was to help people suffering from blood diseases. Employees of Azerpost LLC also participated in the action, which was held with the organizational support of the Central Blood Bank of the Scientific Research Institute of Hematology and Transfusion named after B.Eyvazov.
Every 2 seconds someone in the world needs a blood transfusion. Blood donation not only saves lives of these people, but also has a positive impact on donator’s health. Blood donation decreases risk of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes, as well as has a positive impact on immune system function.
