The European Athletics Youth Championships were broadcasted through Azerspace-1 satellite
The European Athletics Youth Championships, held on 14-17 July 2016 in Georgia, were broadcasted live using the resources of Azerspace-1 telecommunication satellite.
Thus, according to the agreement signed between Azercosmos OJSC of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan and the Georgian company NPLE Media Centre, during the championships, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) carried out transmission of images to the world’s international broadcasting centres through Azerspace-1 satellite.
Azercosmos played an important role in the high quality broadcasting of the most interesting moments of the championships to TV viewers in Europe and other continents. And this can be considered a successful step towards cooperation with the European Broadcasting Union in the broadcasting of sporting contests and other important events.
