Azespace-1 to broadcast international games in Kyrgyzstan

The Second World Nomad Games, which will be held on 3-8 September 2016 in Kyrgyzstan, will be broadcast live with the use of Azerspace-1 satellite’s resources.

Thus, according to the contract signed between Azercosmos OJSC of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies and the Kirghiz company Transfer LTD, Azerspace-1 satellite will carry out the direct transmission of the 6-day games to numerous international broadcasting centres across the world.
The World Nomad Games, held since 2014, consist of more than 20 different types of contests, including horserace, archery, traditional intellectual games, national hunt races, etc.

At the same time, the games will showcase nomadic culture.

National teams from Azerbaijan, Argentina, Brazil, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, the Netherlands, Pakistan, the Russian Federation, the United States and other countries are expected to take part in this year’s games.

It should be noted that the broadcasting of these games and other sports competitions and significant events by Azerspace-1 satellite can be viewed as another successful step in the ongoing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Azercosmos.

It should be also noted that Kyrgyzstan’s public television channel KTRK has been using Azerspace-1 satellite’s resources since 2015.
