Apple launches alternative messaging service in Azerbaijan

Messaging iMessage is now available for Apple users in Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the Alma Store Ramin Musayev told on Friday.

"The application iMessage will allow iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners to exchange text messages and files in Wi-Fi, GPRS and 3G networks free of charge," Musayev said.

iMessage is based on services of data transmission, disposing of a need to send SMS, which greatly saves the user's funds.

Apple's application Find My Friends is also now available in Azerbaijan, which allows Apple users to exchange data about their whereabouts.

Commenting on the supply of a new version of smartphone iPhone 4S (its sales started today in the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and the UK) to the Azerbaijani market, Musayev said no information about delivery dates is available yet.
