Scientists create artificial skin

Physicians from the Privolzhsky Research Medical University have developed an analogue of human skin based on components of blood plasma and collagen.

The invention  is now being tested on animals. In particular, the experiment with rats proved the effectiveness of the invention.

Scientists say that artificial skin will increase the speed and effectiveness of treatment of burns and diabetic ulcers, and will help patients with damaged areas of the skin after surgery, reports Belta.by.
