OnePlus 6T official with in-display fingerprint scanner, notch and a whole lot more

OnePlus has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone during a launch event in New York.

We already knew that the OnePlus 6T will be available in the UK from 6 November (US from 1 November), as it was confirmed by the manufacturer a couple of weeks ago.

We also already know who will be stocking it in the UK, with EE and Vodafone being added to the network list alongside O2. John Lewis and Carphone Warehouse will also be selling the phone SIM-free.

The phone starts at £499 in the UK, $549 in the US.

Prior to the event, we had heard about the in-display fingerprint tech, Screen Unlock, and USB-C for fast charging and audio - as there is no longer a 3.5mm headphone jack.

However, other key specifications are now available. The screen sports a 6.41-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 and Adreno 630 graphics. There is a small waterdrop notch at the top for the front-facing camera.

The phone runs on a 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB or 8GB of RAM depending on the model. There will be 128GB and 256GB storage options.

The rear camera is a dual-lens system with 16-megapixel (plus optical image stabilisation) and 20-megapixel sensors. Both are f/1.7.

Its battery is 3,700mAh and it will ship with Android 9 Pie and the latest version of Oxygen OS.

Colour options will be mirror black and midnight blue.
