Intelligent operation system enables smartphone to control industrial robots

China's leading robot maker Siasun has developed an intelligent operation system, which makes robot remote control possible using a smartphone.

Wearing a pair of augmented reality (AR) glasses, an operator is able to receive data in real time, monitor the production process of the robots in the workshop and set a production order with the smartphone.

"The portable operating system has made robot monitoring and management much easier, and the AR technology also enables an experienced engineer to help the clients with complicated robot testing without heading to the site," said He Yuanyi, an engineer with the company.

The system can be applied in the fields of automobile manufacturing, electrical appliance manufacturing, medical instrument manufacturing and pharmacy, said He.

The new system has been displayed at the Hanover Messe 2019, which is held in Hanover, Germany, from April 1 to 5.

Based in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, Siasun Robot & Automation Co., Ltd. is China's leading robot intelligent manufacturing company, with hundreds of types of robots and automatic products. Founded in 2000, the company was listed in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2009.
