Euronews to demonstrate weekly program about Eurovision-2012
'Euronews is a good tool for providing more information about Azerbaijan to Europe'. Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Euronews Pier Luigi Malesani and Managing Director of the Executive Board of Euronews Michael Peters have visited the Azerbaijani Public TV and Radio Broadcasting Company.
At the meeting with the guests, Azerbaijani Public TV and Radio Company Head Ismayil Omarov said the Azerbaijani society has already witnessed the Public TV Company’s cooperation with Euronews.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev highly appreciated this cooperation during the meeting with Mr. Malesani and Mr. Peters, he said.
Mr.Omarov recalled that the Public TV Company and Euronews undersigned an agreement in Paris in July 2011 and said work is underway on joint projects with Euronews.
In turn, Mr. Malesani said the recent meeting of the Supervisory Board discussed the issue of expanding the broadcast languages of Euronews and authorized Mr.Peters to deal with this issue.
He said Euronews is a good tool for providing more information about Azerbaijan to Europe. News and other programs of Euronews will soon be broadcasted in the Azerbaijani language through the Public TV channel.
Mr.Peters said weekly programs about the preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest-2012 are expected to be broadcasted by Euronews.
