Azerbaijani language TV channel called Heydarbaba launched in Canada


A new Azerbaijani language TV station was launched in Canada starting from 20 November. The TV channel called Heydarbaba is broadcast under the brand HBTV.

The TV channel founded by political migrants, Azerbaijani activists who are natives of Iran, will broadcast in Azerbaijani language on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at the local Rogers TV channel. The key objective of the TV channel is popularize history, music and culture of Azerbaijan in the local community.

HBTV also aims to raise awareness of the Canadian public and world about violated rights of Azerbaijanis in Iran. Rogers TV also broadcasts another Azerbaijani television AzCanTV.
