Working Group on Transport, Communications and High Technologies holds its regular meeting


The Working Group on Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Inter-Agency Center operating under the Coordination Headquarters, set up to  resolve issues in a centralized manner in the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation, held its next meeting.
 
In order to coordinate the issues of transport, communications and the introduction of high technologies in the territories liberated from the occupation, the Working Group on Transport, Communications and High Technologies comprising  representatives of relevant government bodies is working on the creation of transport and communications infrastructure in these territories that meets international standards,  the introduction of high technologies in line with modern challenges, including the convenient and safe use of all modes of transport in those areas, the restoration of transit and transport ties and the expansion of regional cooperation in this area, the construction of a backbone and local telecommunications networks and its connection to the republican telecommunications network for general use by ensuring alternatives, the provision of telephone based on new technologies, Internet, radio-television, postal services to the population living and working there and government agencies, ensuring the air security of our republic, as well as the application of the concepts of "Smart City and  "Smart Village".
 
At the meeting chaired by the head of the Working Group, Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rashad Nabiyev, information was provided from relevant agencies on the implementation of measures included in the Detailed Sectoral Plan, including the work done on the design and construction of roads and railways, airports, construction inter-regional trunk cable lines and the creation of communication networks, the directions for future activities were determined, taking into account the existing difficulties and problems, it was decided to keep in the center of attention the preparation and implementation of priority projects. Also, taking into account the organization of mutually coordinated work within the framework of measures for the return and settlement of the population to the territories liberated from the occupation, issues of prevention of duplication, saving of public funds, taking into account the principle of customer satisfaction, optimal allocation of government bodies and service organizations in order to provide services from a single center were discussed.
 
The meeting also discussed the draft "State program for the restoration and sustainable development of the territories liberated from occupation of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2021-2025", opinions and proposals on the document were identified.
 
The importance of carrying out construction and restoration work in the territories liberated from the occupation was emphasized, taking into account main directions and instructions identified by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the upcoming needs and prospects related to the settlement, new challenges and concepts, and the implementation of the work done by all agencies in coordination with the Inter-Agency Center through the Working Group, ensuring active participation of all agencies and representatives in these processes and contributing to the common work in a climate of mutual cooperation.
 
The Coordination Headquarters, established by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated November 24, 2020, is headed by head of the Presidential Administration Samir Nuriyev.
