Electronic kiosks to be soon installed in registration offices in Baku

Electronic kiosks installed in notary public offices in Baku, apart from providing citizens with detailed information on state duties and fees for using legal services, can now also be used by citizens for making certain types of payments.

Such electronic kiosks are expected to be installed in registration offices as well. This information was provided to “ICTnews” online news service by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the information, the ministry has introduced a number of new electronic services as part of the implementation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s decree on “Some measures in the sphere of provision of e-services by state bodies” dated 23 May 2011.

“One of the new electronic services is called “Electronic acceptance of applications and documents for registering births and marriages.” The information also says that “Information about Azerbaijani names” is the most frequently used service among those rendered through the “e-Government” portal.
