The procedure of application for a license for developing biometric technologies or rendering services with the use of these technologies can be easily completed through the E-government portal

Nowadays, biometric technologies provide a high level of transparency, security, accuracy and convenience in rendering different types of services. Biometric technologies are currently being applied in a wide range of areas, including secure access, entertainment systems, electronic payment systems, etc.

Formation and development of the sphere of biometric technologies in our country is carried out in accordance with the Law "On Biometric information" of the Republic of Azerbaijan.   And the issuance of licenses for the development of biometric technologies and provision of services with the use of these technologies is carried out in accordance with Decree. No. 782 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On improvement of the rules for issuance of special permits (licenses) for certain types of activities" dated September 2, 2002.

The procedure of application for a license for developing biometric technologies or rendering services with the use of these technologies is very simple.

To do that,

1. Enter the E-government portal (www.e-gov.az) and select the "Issuance of special permits (licenses) for some types of activities" e-service from the list of the electronic services of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT) in the "All services" section of the portal.

The e-service cannot be accessed without an electronic signature card provided by MCHT.
2. Select "License for development of biometric technologies and provision of services with the use of these technologies" from the "Select the type of license" field.

3. After confirming the Tax Identification Number, enter the relevant information to the corresponding fields.

3.1 After signing the required documents with the electronic signature, upload these documents in the specified order.
