Russian scientists have developed a mobile application for treating strabismus. The new application, which was developed on the basis of a well-known program, is called “Eye-Lab”.
The device has holes for lenses, which are cut by a special laser machine. The frame of the device is made of cheap plywood, which makes it economical. After creation of the framework, experts created glasses of the future.
To treat strabismus, the patient needs to go through several stages of the virtual game. Thanks to special effects, the application can cure strabismus.
Scientists believe that the device will be in great demand given that about two percent of children in the world suffer from strabismus. However, experts believe that glasses are able to correct only light forms of strabismus, 7MedNews reports.
