Research firm Kantar Worldpanel has released a new report on the state of the market of mobile operating systems in the three months since February this year. Any unexpected changes have occurred: Android is still increasing its share worldwide, iOS and Windows gradually lose their positions.
In Europe, Android occupies 76% of the total market, which is 5.8% more compared to the same period last year. iOS in the same region declined by 1%, but Windows and all of 4.5%. Even in the Chinese market, which Apple pays a lot of attention, the share of iOS dropped by 4.4%.
Analysts say that a major influx of Android for the most part composed of former Windows users and iOS. The latter even at home in the United States over the past year, lost 2.5% and its share of the market there is now 30.7 percent.
