AzInTelecom LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies launched the competition Hackathon-AzIn 2018 today within the Innovation Week held for the first time in Azerbaijan on October 26-30.
The hackathon held on October 29-30 with the support of the High-Tech Park covers the topic of developing a web application for image recognition technology.
The competition consists of 3 stages. The first stage of hackathon started with giving the participants a relevant assignment by AzInTelecom. At the second stage, they will work on programming and presentation of the assignment. On October 30, winners will be determined according to the results of the evaluation of the level of assignment.
The winners of the two-day competition will be awarded prizes by AzInTelecom and sponsors of the competition. The team that won the first place will receive a prize of 5000 AZN, the second place - 3000 AZN and the third place- 1000 AZN.
It is to be noted that in evaluating the presented solutions, criteria such as logic, design, functionality and innovation will be taken into account.
Hackathon-AzIn 2018 is held under the general sponsorship of Azercell, Risk, Bestcomp, İl Patio and Huawei companies and provides an opportunity for specialists (participants) to promote themselves, present their projects, and for investors and companies to involve talented youth in their teams.
Note that hackathon is a team game in which like-minded people come together and perform coding of their innovative ideas. During the competition, the participants within 24-48 hours should find and submit new solution to the given assignment.
