Huawei recently announced its new operating system, finally referred to as Harmony OS. It's about a very adaptable system that can serve to virtually any device of the company, like as Android alternative in case the situation of the United States bans gets more complicated. The first product presented with the Harmony OS system was the Honor Smart Screen, Honor's approach to the Smart TV market. But nevertheless, we will also have a Smart TV under the seal of Huawei, and it will also have the aforementioned operating system.
Reservations for the first Huawei TV have opened today (09/09) in China through Jingdong (JD.com). The product page on JD includes a calendar that offers us the launch date of Huawei TV. From the page it is revealed that Huawei will hold a world launch conference on September 19 where the TV called as Huawei Smart Screen.
According to an official poster published by Huawei on Weibo, the launch event will be in Munich, Germany. Smart TV will be available to book from September 20 in international markets. At the moment the date of direct availability of the product has not been revealed. The part that was supposed to contain the mentioned date only contains the words "Stay tuned". However, we expect the device to go on sale shortly after launch.
The new device will become in the second of Huawei to present the Harmony OS operating system after the Honor Smart Screen. At the moment little is known about the Huawei Smart Screen. However, it was recently certified at the National Quality Certification Center of China. The certification page shows that you will have a 55-inch model and a 65-inch model. Also that both will feature panels developed by Hefei BOE Video Technology Co., Ltd, one of the leading LCD manufacturers in China.
Huawei CEO Richard Yu later revealed that there also will be a 75 inch model. It is also expected to have a pop-up camera, artificial intelligence, powerful sound system, cloud services and others. It will also become a new control center for Huawei Internet of Things (IoT).
The international launch of the Huawei Smart Screen is a great opportunity for the Chinese company show the capabilities of Harmony OS. It was recently revealed that smart watches and laptops would also arrive soon.
