Baktelecom provides journalists’ residential building with optical network

Baku Telephone Communications LLC (Baktelecom) under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has provided the journalists’ residential building with an optical network meeting modern standards.
 
Baktelecom has carried out this work within the framework of the project “ Fiber to the Home”  in order to provide mass media representatives with high-speed internet access in connection with the declared martial law and special quarantine regime in the country.
 
The construction of optical infrastructure in the 170-apartment residential building for journalists has already been completed. Residents were provided with multimedia services through one optical line, and they were provided with internet devices for free.
 
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies highly appreciates the work of media representatives in provision of information to the public about the counter-offensive operations carried out by the Azerbaijani Army and the provocations of the enemy, and wishes them success in their professional activities.
 
It should be noted that earlier Baktelecom deployed a broadband optical network in another residential building, built for media representatives by the relevant Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On additional measures to strengthen the social protection of media workers in Azerbaijan”.
